I Love Morality II | 2017
The project I love morality is an anthropological inquiry , a research conducted in collaboration with faculty of biology at Riga. The fetus of the monkey ,the skeleton of an African ostrich and the corpses of butterflies setup in a frame appear as a winning trophy of what is assumed as the enlightened period of European human history. With many references to scientific colonialism, these investigations represent the history of epistemology that infers to the anthropocentricity of today’s time. The juxtaposition of such scientific memoirs with the mundane ,the work is a setup between a domestic and science lab, serving as an alter piece where the assumed sacred and profane comes together. It is a set up where knowledge comes under scrutiny, a deconstruction of organized ideals that are reorganized to form possibilities for new ideals of history.
